SATA Hard drive

i am having a problem with windows seeing my SATA hard drive while
trying to fromat a computer. Has anyone ever run across this before.
The bios on the computer says the drive is there so it is not a
connection problem.

If nothing is in the floppy drive, and it continually runs, it is
connected incorrectly.
Check the cable, and if it is not offset, then "flip" it around.

The floppy drive status and/or workings will have no effect on hard
drives.

Thank you for the suggestion. That was done and it still won't boot
up.
The blue screen that comes up says there is a problem with windows. We
made a floppy disk to boot the sata drive however the blue screen still
appears.

Frustrating considering its a brand new desktop

What does the blue screen say exactly?
It will tell you what is wrong.
