- saving windows updates

hey, i wonder if anyone can tell me where i can download the windows updates
(as .exe),
in stead of installing them directly with 'windows update'?

Basically -
Create a directory to save the updates in.
Select the updates.
Goto download basket.
Select the directory you created, to save the files in.
The updates are downloaded into the directory / subfolders created.
They are not installed, see the MS article -
