No. I've used Teranews for several years as a secondary/backup server,
no problems at all.

I completely disagree. free.teranews is an excellent backup server and well
worth the one-off, very small fee. So it goes offline occasionally once or
twice a month. Big fucking deal, you whining bitch.

started and are every day now 24/7.removed the account several times and
re-installed with no change.this is the only news server I use that has a
connect problem.

illuminated:

One-time setup fee and free thereafter. Regardless of your whining,
that is still one of the plans that they offer. If you want a more
reliable NNTP server than you get using a free one, and since you would
then have to pay for it, you have LOTS of candidate services to choose
from. No one is forcing you to use Teranews' paid service, especially
for a freebie service that obviously doesn't generate them revenue and
only has a 3-day retention period for posts. Just a bit of effort in
searching will show there are other free NNTP servers available, like
searching Google or asking in alt.free.newsservers, but usually you get
the quality of service that you pay for.

Do you realise your post goes out to the whole of Usenet?

Are you sure? I have a free and a pay Teranews account and for the

It's not a scam. Teranews is notorious for periodic problems that can last
days at a time. The pay server is affected just as much as ther free one.
Bubbanews (another Teranews front door) is also usually affected. They have
a lot of server problems.
