since reinstalling wxp pro and upgrading to bt 8mb broadband my sons pc
which is operating wirelessly has developed a fault whereby when scrolling
web pages (in IE6 or firefox) the movement is jumpy and slow

scrolling is smooth in local folders and only applies when on the net

my son has enabled smooth scrolling in firefox but this makes no difference

any ideas?

That was my problem after a recent re-install also and drivers were my
problem. Go to control panel / system / hardware / device manager and see if
any problems are shown.

its easy to assume that xp will just find everything so this is a learning
curve
