"sharing violation" eudora & Word
Posted by moyo on February 19th, 2004

I'm trying to
1. receive a piece of mail from a friend (no prob, using eudora, been
getting mail for years

2. Modify the mail (used MS word, don't know if that is correct)

3. either send the modified mail back to eudora and mail to others
(everytime I try to open the file in eudora I get a sharing violation
but can't find sharing violation in the help area)

4. So I'm stuck. How do I get unstuck

TIA

moyo

More info please. What OS, what version of Eudora, what version of Word, how
are you sending back and forth between word and Eudora. Try reading

Taking a moment's reflection, moyo mused:

Make sure you have saved the modified file, and closed out the document
in Word before you attempt to send it out again via email. Word locks files
to protect them while opened.
