Is this just me, of are pipex really slow with their newsrgroups.

Yes, Pipex is painfully slow downloading newsgroup messages on Broadband. I
phone them weekly and have done since January, all they say is that they are
working on it. They have no date for things to be corrected although they
are working on it (honest guv). The very helpful young man told me to find a
free newsgroup server which would be faster - I have not managed to locate
one yet.
I have tried both news-text.dial.pipex.com and news-text.dsl.pipex.com, both
are very slow. Even slower than my old Tesco dial up!
Guess as we are tied to a years contract we just have to sit tight.
