I was searching online about a week ago and found a post about disabling the
spyware within the SmileyCentral download without removing the smile
interface with IE6 and FireFox. Any truth to this? I can't seem to find
the article now

Well quite a few people in Yahoo and MSN groups utilize it, but so far none
have said they've ever cleared the spyware from their system, including this
plug-in. That's why I was asking if it was true or not. You guys set me
straight and I won't download it. But I'd like to help others to remove the
spyware and still let them have their crazy smileys they seem to enjoy.

I think mwsoemon is the file your talking about, but you can disable
it by going into the Add/remove area and removing the MyWebsearch
program.
