Make sure you have the correct driver downloaded first of all, next
remove the sound card in Device Manager then power off your PC. Next open
your pc and remove the sound card (if its a "onboard" sound card then you
obviously can't). Restart the PC without the sound card and make sure it
is also gone out of device manager. Now you can power off once again and
reinstall the card, perhaps in another slot just to be safe. Restart the
PC and follow the add hardware wizard and direct it to your new driver.
If this doesn't resolve your problem then it may be time to contact the
manufacturer directly.
