- Start menu problem
- Posted by elaich on April 13th, 2008
Windows 2000, unofficial SP 5. If I delete an entry in the Start menu
dialog using right click, it freezes. Sometimes I can get out by refreshing
the desktop, sometimes not. Sometimes it will eventually reset, sometimes
not. I have actually had to reboot because of this. Ideas?

another way to do what want, is right click on the start menu and
select explore all users, Programs.
Delete or add what you need.
Also goto your directory, start menu, programs
Some things will be hiding there.

Using XP not 2000 but I imagine you can use Windows Explorer, browse
to C:\Documents and Settings\[user]\Start Menu and delete items
directly
