- Suse Linux User in need of help.
- Posted by Mr Gavin Small on December 16th, 2004
Hi group.
I can't seem to log into my own Linux server, I've tried all my favorite
passwords, but no joy.
How do I get back in to my own system?
Regards,
Mr Gavin David Small.

Note, BY has it's own linux newsgroup as well.
Login as root and change the user password.
Same question had an answer not very long ago (from me). As it's not a
good idea to post a full answer, use Google and search for -
linux single user boot password
or
linux change root password
or
linux recover root password
BTW why use what looks like your account name as your email address?

first off,
linux passwords are case sensitive...
be sure you didn't hit your caps lock by mistake
2nd...
it does not matter what your favorite passwords are...
you need to use the correct password for your system
