- System slowdown
- Posted by michaeltheller@gmail.com on August 2nd, 2006
I just got a new GeForce 6200 video card and now any time I try to open
a video file, the system slows down to a crawl until I force quit
Windows Media Player. All of the drivers are updated, and I can't find
anything that may be causing a hardware conflict. Can anyone help?

What version of Media Player?
While you are playing a video launch Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Delete)
and go to the Processes tab. Click twice on the CPU column header to
sort the list based on CPU usage with the highest use items at the
top.
Post the names of the 4 or 5 highest usage items back here.
Good luck
