It's spyware. Go to download.com and do a search for spybot - search and
destroy (freeware). That should get rid of the toolbar.

Get AdAware (www.lavasoft-usa.com) or Spybot. That toolbar has caused
many a headache for many a computer user. It is spyware.

Sometimes you can remove spyware in control panel/add remove programs.

But you may wish to seek a proper spyware removal tool. I strongly
recommend that you do not pay for this tool. You can get an open
source, or at least free spyware killer.

Windows XP, NAV2004

A toolbar called 'Search Assistant' keeps appearing on My Taskbar.

I've closed it, deleted every reference to it in win explorer and the
registry, AV does not detect it- it still reappears.

Irritating thing reorders my quick launch toolbar.
