- Is there a way to edit existing windows Icons? to customize them
- Posted by lbbss on April 13th, 2006
I would like to edit and customize some of my windows icons. For example,
the typical folder icons that I have as one of my desktop shortcuts, I would
like customize it and add the a letter over top. When I right click on a
icon and select properties, then change icon, it points me to a windows dll
file. It does not give me a single bitmap icons file, so I don't know how
I could edit these existing windows icons.

What about a web site where I can download pre made icons. Anything
out there like that? thanks.

May I suggest trying this:
click on a folder and open it
click VIEW
click CUSTOM THIS FOLDER
and follow the next logical steps.
Winxp Home.
