dear friends,

i have a peculiar problem with my laptop's dvd rom.

when i start my laptop with any dvd pre-inserted in it, it recognizes
and runs well the dvd.

however, if i eject it and insert any other or the same dvd again, it
doesn't recognizes any.

when i run the diagnostics it says the device is working properly while
i could not run the device.

can anybody help and give clue diagnosing and troubleshoot this
problem.
