- Transfering Data between computers using USB?
- Posted by SS on April 15th, 2006
Is it possible to connect 2 machines via USB cable and then transfer files
from one to another? I have an older Win98SE machine (USB 1.1) and an XP
home machine (USB 2).
Is it simply a case of connecting the 2 with a USB lead and if so do I need
any special software? presumably yes for the Win98 machine but would the XP
machine 'recognise' the connection automatically?
Thanks

One other thing you *clown*, the articles Part 1-7 do make mention of a USB
*CABLE* connection, if your dumb ass had bothered to look or attempted
to read it. But again, I don't like using USB accept for a camera connection
to upload pictures.

I have never had a problem using good old reliable RJ45 -- and I'll repeat
it *never a problem*.
You both are *clowns*.

You're as stupid as they come *clown* RJ45 is a connection type, which there
are more ways to network other than RJ45, like USB is connection type.

You should go lay down on the couch and take a couple of asprin to ease your

Nope
you can't just plug the machines together with a USB cable...
however there is hardware avail for doing so.
(just google for it)
if the machines have net cards...
once configured properly, a crossover cable would be all that's needed

It's you that can't understand and I don't have to justify any thing to you
about absolutley *nothing*. You can flip, dip it and spin it around all you
want.
<snip>
I have never had a problem using good old reliable RJ45 -- and I'll repeat
it *never a problem*.
<snip>
That's what I said and nothing and nothing else.
Yor're the one that took it over the top with (Networking *is* RJ45...
clown
). I'll repeat what you posted (Networking *is* RJ45... clown
). I
just corretced you, as there are more ways to network other than RJ45.
You don't have a *clue*. It's you that ran your *big* mouth, with your spin
on things about *nothing*.
Now you remember *clown*. You put yourself there I didn't put you there. If
you got a problem with it, then take it up with Judge Judy -- you're not
going to win there either. ;-)

You're the one pretending to have an answer, doo-wayne. The only answer
you have is one to a question no one asked.

Chadlicking-the-Stone no one cares about what you're talking about. Take
you dildo and go stand in the corner and lay an egg.
And yet K-Hen you come with nothing other than your usual cross posting BS.
