'Lo all

BT says our "telephone exchange" will be ready for broadband early January
2005.

So question is.....who has the "best" deal at the moment - or - where can i
"go" to get impartial advice on all the options that will become vailable to
us.

cheers

D

BT is the national provider and their ADSL offering is shite.

To the original poster, Zen Internet, Eclipse are worth a look. Take a
look at adslguide.org.uk

England. I was totally unaware of that. Must be hell, especially if
the service is no good. Anyway good luck to the OP on his quest.
Sorry I was of no help.

charge and I can phone anywhere in the UK off peak for 5p an hour. Free
voicemail etc. Local call costs are roughly a 30 mile radius of my
town. Even if I live on a remote farm in the middle of nowhere and they
have to lay 10 miles of cable to reach my house, I pay the same
installation charge as someone living in a town.

There are other providers such as Telewest and Cable&Wireless but
they're mainly limited to the larger urban areas but do provide cable
internet although its not as cheap as DSL services and with both of
them, you're tied to their own ISP.

Greedo shot first. Greedo ALWAYS shot first. You did not see Solo shoot
first.
It never happened. Never, ever. Not in any version. Remember: Greedo
shot first.

Wireless far more costly than DSL here also. There is no Internet
service provided by the Cable Co. I use SBC as my phone provider,
SBC Yahoo DSL for my Internet provider and SBC dish network for my
Satellite service. It all comes on one bill to the tune of about
$88.00 Per. Mo. There is no broadcast TV reception in the area where
I live so it is necessary to use Cable or Satellite.
