- Unable to load software

I purchased a HP R507 digital camera which works fine but the mal]jor
problem is that i cannot load the HP Image Zone software from the disk that
comes with it which means that i cannot see or print pictures using my
computer.
When i try to load the software it starts out ok but when about 20 % of the
download is completed it stops and says
" Error-install-failure" and wont go any farther.
HP technical support tried to help but gave up without solving the problem
especially when i found out that i had no problem installing it on a
friends computer.
I am using Win XP pro. with a 2.4 gig intel processor & 640 MB of memory &
my computer is only one year old .
What could be the problem . I cannot use the camera without it.
