Uninstall problems
Posted by rfdjr1@optonline.net on December 14th, 2006

I just tried to uninstall Microsoft Flight Simulator so I could replace it with
the latest version. I went to Control Panel > Remove Programs, found it and
clicked on uninstall. I got a message path not found and it wouldn't uninstall.
It also disappeared from the list. Any other ways to uninstall other than just
deleting the folder, which I know doesn't actually uninstall it? Thanks.

Thanks. I just tried that way and I still get:

"The system cannot find the path specified"

This is after the uninstall screen comes up for the program, but when I try to
activate the uninstall procedure, I get that message.

Have you tried to just install the new version over top of the old?

And that is why your old uninstall is messed up...registry info is now
for install #2 which is in a different location.

I tried the uninstall before I installed the new version to try and prevent
exactly that.
