- UNKNOWN REGISTRY ENTRY
- Posted by Terri on November 8th, 2003
This is in my registry and I can't get any info on it to tell me what
it is or if I can delete it...
Can anyone tell me what this is in my registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/zulslcstcbla
Thanks for any help,
Terri

Get a program called AdAware. This should flush your registry of suspicious
programs that might be bringing spyware and adware into your computer that
might be causing such registry entries. Update the plug in package, run
it, and check the registry again. Do a google search for it, it is a
commonly used program.

Scan your system:

Spybot Search & Destroy

Ad-Aware

Spyware Blaster

HijackThis

Then perform some system cleanup, including the registry.

Holy crap, this is almost a month old!
Back up your registry and delete the entry, if there is no
information in it (ie. it's a blank registry key).

As for what it is have you tried to run a find on zulslcstcbla using the option
"Containing Text"? it takes a while but if the word is in any file you will have
a starting point.
zulslcstcbla is a real odd ball word and would appear to be an encrypted word,
it could be copy protection, or proof of your ownership.
Export the key just incase, then delete it. see what doesn't work. If it's
important just double click on your exported key to reinstall it.
