- What colors would be good
- Posted by Brian on April 29th, 2005
I just changed the top banner image on my website from a light color to a
dark color. What color schemes would look good on the website? Everything I
try looks awkward to me.

The background 1A4B50 is too dark.
There are more things than the color to fix, inline styles, stylesheets,
tables, size="x" , font="x" , just about every other attribute in the
form x="y".

I saved your page, and readjusted the colors in the banner using the enhance
colors feature of Irfanview. I adjusted the green and blue colors. It looked
quite nice with the colors you are currently using on the site.

I like the colors just fine. In fact, that's the exact shade of aqua I use
for my desktop.

Actually, why not try the dark green I use for my Firefox workspace? My
theme has a sunset look, and the green (which I shamelessly stole from
Mozillazine) goes nicely. The hex value is #006766.
