I suspect that perhaps it's a windows problem.
(Since nobody posted how to get http chaining working in Opera or
Firefox either.)
I haven't tested it in linux

According to this site
http://www.proxyblind.org/proxy_chaining.shtml
this syntax is valid
http://proxy.magusnet.com/-_-http://www.yahoo.com
http://anon.free.anonymizer.com:80/h...www.google.com
Yet I have some proxy servers, which i've successfully pinged and
tested by putting them in the settings of internet explorer,
Yet if I try using them not putting them in the settings. i.e. using
them with long URLs , they don't work
http://195.226.230.58/www.google.com
http://195.226.230.58:80/www.google.com
http://195.226.230.58/-_-195.226.230.58
that's a valid proxy, i tested it in IE via the settings and it worked.
I got it from here
http://www.publicproxyservers.com/page1.html
I didn't find many that worked. But the above one does work. AS tested
in the settings. The problem is with those URLs.
I recall using those kinds of URLs in internet explorer in the past.
Are they not supported anymore?!!
