In the future, kindly put your question in the body of your message, not in
the Subject line.
As to your problem:
The trust database for the machine has likely been corrupted and must be
recreated. This can be achieved by renaming the existing "Catroot2" folder
and let the system regenerate a new one.
Do a search for the "CatRoot2" folder.
It should be located at C:\WINDOWS\system32\CatRoot2\
or, for Win2K, at C:\WINNT\system32\CatRoot2\
Right-click on the "CatRoot2" folder and choose Rename
Rename the folder to "CR2OLD"
Close all open windows and try Windows Update again.
