- WIN XP login issue
- Posted by J.H. Holliday on May 20th, 2005
I'm running WIN XP, SP2 with just one user/administrator and a login
password set.
When the Welcome Screen appears, I have to click on the user icon before the
password entry box appears. I seem to remember that the box used to appear
automatically-- saving an extra click.
Do I remember that right? Any way to have the password entry box open with
the Welcome Screen?

Control Panel | Users shows only the one user and Guest Account which is
OFF. Am I looking in the right place?

How the fuck would we know what you remember? if you want to have the
password entry box open with the welcome screen then you have to know the
secret handshake. Send me 100.00 US and I'll tell you what it is!

Hey Bla-- Since January, I've been spending Thursday afternoons with your
wife at a local motel and up until now, I didn't believe the things she told
me about your pathetic personality....

Please see my post of 18th May which states the same. I got it down to NET
framework 1.1, but could not figure out what it changed in the registry.
Roach has answered it!
