Hiya

My PC running Win XP Pro SP1 (all patches) has just started to reboot itself
everytime i open a .jpg file.
If i double click it reboots, if i open a Paint Shop pro or Picture Viewer
and then go file open, it reboots.

No BSOD, and no info in the event viewer.

No changes to my system, no programs added, have checked for spyware and
viruses and none found.

I am running a intel p4 3.2GHz 1GB Ram, Nvidia FX 5950 Ultra.

Any Ideas.

That sounds like a registry corruption. Do you have
a restore point that you can go back to?

Hello,

We would suggest going into the folder options - then file types and
changing the associated program for opening .JPG or .JPEG files to something
different.

It could be that the program currently associated with these file types is
causing your system to reboot. If you change it to another program, this
could very well solve your problem.
