- Windows dialog box with Firefox

I have changed my browser from Internet Explorer to Firefox and have
this problem:-
From the Desktop, Start/Run and I type in a web address I get an
audible warning and a Dialog Box saying:-
Windows cannot find (address) Make sure that you typed the name
correctly....etc, etc......
Firefox then opens and loads the website normally.
How do I get rid of the Windows Dialog Box?
