The other reason there is so much spam in this group is because this one
is at the top of the alphabetical list of groups. Sort of a 'first come,
first served' thing.

Unfortunately, it doesn't. We have Google to blame for almost all spam
in Usenet.

Why don't you subscribe to an NNTP service, get a real newsreader, and
be sure readers will see your posts?

Also, many of the people here are filtering out GGers such as your post,
so not only do they not see whatever is bothering you, they don't even
see your post.

You should find a nntp newsserver, free or otherwise, and use a
newsreader. Your experience will be vastly improved. Use GG for
searching for old usenet posts or partiticpating in googlespecific
groups. Use nntp reader/server for read/post to usenet.
