Yahoo Account
Posted by star2fire on August 25th, 2003

Once again, I have been locked out of my Yahoo Account. I get the following
message:
System: Your account has been locked for security reasons.
Please click on the link below for help:
http://login.yahoo.com/config/login
I deleted my cookies and history, like you all advised me to do before. It
is still not working. I can't quite figure this out. I've had this account
for several years. Is Yahoo having problems, or am I?

There is much trouble on Yahoo with ppl booting each other there is a
protection you may have called Y tunnell however ppl still get through it
and send out programes like account locker or they just steal your username
if its unique and hence the lock out.

I'm probably wrong, this is a long shot, you don't happen to have caps lock on/off when you try log in to Yahoo, do you? Yahoo log in is case sensitive.
Also, have you left your account for over 90 days without using it?, I *lost* my account because it hadn't been used in ages, but then I only used Yahoo for playing games, and not for emailing purposes.
I was also getting the same message as you are getting, I just made a new ID. have you tried logging in through a backdoor, e.g. www.alleykatzden.com?
Raine.

Star2fire have you tried clicking on the security option at the log in page? Just a thought, it might work.
Raine.
