Add Broadband connection to startup
Posted by Vinay on November 27th, 2007

Hi, I use a Braodband connection which requires a username and password to
logon. I need to add this connection to my startup folder, so that the
broadband connection is started everytime I boot my PC (when windows starts)
I use Windows XP professional SP2. Can anyone help me in doing this.Thanks.

Open the "Network Connections" folder in the control panel

Open Windows Explorer and navigate to your equivalent of C:\Documents
and Settings\[your userid]\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Using a mouse-button-2 (usually right), drag your connection into the
Startup folder.

When prompted, click "Create Shortcut..."

You may have to fiddle with the connection to make it connect
automatically during startup.

Why not just use a router that saves your username and password?
