- Assigning Keyboard Keys

Hello To ALL,
This is my 1st time posting and I'm hope I word my question correctly so
that you will understand it. The question I have sounds more and more
rediculous everytime I think about it and procrastinating to submit the
question on line is driving me crazy...so here goes. I would like to know,
if it is possible to assign personal word phrases to a particular key on a
keyboard ? i.e.: Assigning the phrase "nice to meet you" to appear when a
particular key ( M ) is pressed or a combanation of keys are pressed (
Ctrl+M ) . Hope that made sense . Your assistance will be greatly
appreciated....THX.....Mario

software. One such program, freeware, is AutoHotKey. I use it, and

Thank you very much Ken, I have several friends who know alot about computers
and they had no clue if that was possible. I am going to try your suggestion

I can assure you that it works. I use AutoHotKey all the time. As a
matter of fact, I've used it twice in this message. The two sentences
"You're welcome. Glad to help." were produced by my typing /yw and the
phrase "As a matter of fact" was produced by my typing /aamof. I have
a long list of abbreviations that I use similarly, and also use it to
automatically correct common typos I make, such as "adn" for "and."
It's easy to use, but if you have any trouble with it, let me know.
