Our computers require caps lock & num lock to be ON all the time. Are there
any settings I can change to keep these on after the computers reboot every
night or on start up? We are using Windows XP Professional.

1. Press the Start button and then Run
2. Type "regedit" (without the quotes)
3. Dig down to HKEY_USERS\.Default\Control Panel\Keyboard using the tree on
the left
3. Double click "InitialKeyboardIndicators"
4. Change the value for InitialKeyboardIndicators from 0 to 2
5. Reboot

well that CAN work or you can change it in the BIOS, most BIOS have
these options hidden in them somewhere.

My current main system has only the num lock option. I haven't recollection
of the other system's offerings. The OP mentioned multiple computers so
running from BIOS to BIOS is likely not a very good/realistic option
depending on the number and location of them all. I looked again and can't
seem to find one for the caps lock button... I could have sworn I'd seen on
in passing before but, alas, that one's gone missing.
