change default folder icon
Posted by John on January 20th, 2006

Hi,
I tried the vbs script to change the default icon for folder and open
folder from Kelly's Korner "Change the Folder Icon &/or Opened Folder
Icon".
<http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm>
Unfortunately, the registery entries were updated but it didn't changed
the icons. I'm using Windows XP Sp2 with a patched uxtheme.dll. Even
with the deafult Luna theme it doesn't work. Does any one have a method
that works?

Thanks

John,

You may need to refresh the icons using these steps:

1. Right-click Desktop, choose Properties, Appearance Tab.
2. Click Advanced button, choose Icon from the drop-down list
3. Set it's size to 31 and press OK, OK

Repeat the steps (1-3) and set the Icon size to 32 (defaults)
