- Change Wondows langage
- Posted by Olivier DESNOE on October 12th, 2005
All,
I currently have windows XP in german (i.e. Windows speaks german with
me), and I would like to switch it to english (i.e I would like it
speaks with me in english, and no more in german); I am not trying to
change the keyboard langage but the langage of all the menus and
messages and help, and so on, without having to reinstall windows itself
because I have tons of programs installed and settings set up.
Does anyone know how to do that?

Windows XP is written in specific language versions, therefore one
cannot change it from one language version to another. You'll need
to purchase a "Full Version" of Windows XP in the language version
you desire, reformat your drive and install it "clean".
Or if you have an available empty drive or partition, you can install
another "Full Version" of Windows XP in a different language version
and create a dual-boot configuration.

A good third-party partitioning program is Partition Magic 8.

Sorry, it's not possible. You'll need to buy and install an
English version.
