Clearing "Save As" MRUlist in WinXP
Posted by Clueless on March 3rd, 2006

When I use the "Save As" feature in XP it keeps a list of the last 20 or so
files for every letter(last 20 A's,B's C's etc.) I' m going to be sharing
access to my pc with several people for the next 6 months, and anyone who
saves a file can see personal and /or inapproriate information. Is there a
way to turn off this mru feature or if not change the number of files
remembered to say 1? Will that clear the existing mru lists? TIA.

Try; TaskBar|Properties|Start Menu|Customize|Advanced|Clear List

These lists are profile specific so other users will not see them.
