- Deleting user accounts
- Posted by cres1486 on October 30th, 2005
My Katrina evacuees have all moved out, so I need to delete their user
accounts. However, the following does NOT work when I am logged in as the
administrator: control panel-user accounts-delete account-delete files.
Windows "gets stuck" and stops responfing. I have tried this several
different times. Any ideas? I'm running XP pro. Thanks!

Try booting into Safe Mode and deleting the accounts.

There may be mass amount of files that need to be deleted and may appear
nothing is happening, try walking away for 10 or 15 minutes.
This happens in IE when the TIF is very large, IE appears to be not
responding but actually it is deleting a huge Temporary Internet Folder.
