I have a portable with a Swiss layout, and I like to connect external
keyboards but...
they have a different keyboard layout French, Belgian, US ... depending
where I am and what I can put my hands on.

With the langage bar, I can change the keyboard layout on the fly, but it's
per application; when I close the application I'm back to the default
keyboard.

Can I assign a default keyboard layout per session with a key stroke, or in
a logging script (to avoid digging each time the control panel / regional
setting /...)
