Only One User - stop rigamarole
Posted by Georgia on February 7th, 2006

I love the "user" thing for the machine my husband and grandkids use; it
works great. This machine, however, is mine, and none of them better even
*look* at it. How do I stop all the rigamarole at bootup, and all the "My
Documents" "Shared Documents" "Guest..." crappola??? I just want to use my
machine, not play with "stuff." Thanks,

Hello Georgia,

Click on Start>Run.
Type in "controll userpasswords2" no quotes and press enter

In dialog, Uncheck "User must enter a user name and password to use this
computer",
and it will ask you which user will log on auto.
