These Office Assistants seem to be designed for Office 97.

Right?

When I try to install the Will Shakespeare Office Assistant in Windows XP
Pro with MS Office 2003 I get the following message:

"You must have an Office 97 application to install this software" -- and
installation aborts.

Do you have a link to Office Assistants for Office 2003?

Thanks.

There is a search facility at Microsoft's site. You enter what you are
looking for then look through the results to find something relevant to
yourself. Try it, it's quite clever.

Here's a link found by putting your search phrase ( Office Assistants for
Office 2003) into the sites search facility:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/as...spx?mode=print

Try it and see if you can find anything else.

"Alan" belched intemperately:

That reads:

1. A lot of stuff which is totally irrelevant to the OP's question -- and
mine.

2. "Note: The Assistants shown on the Gallery tab are the only
Assistants available for Office 2003."

So:

"Alan's" belch does zip point zero to clarify the issues stated below by the
OP and me -- which deal with NEW Office Assistants for Office 2003 NOT
Office 1997.

Carey Frisch, meanwhile, has gone as quiet as a Muslim synagogue mouse at a
Bar Mitzvah.

Why would anyone want to help someone who makes a post so rude as this one?

Balderdash.

Third party Office Assistants may be available or not. Folks may even be
developing them, or not. MS doesn't speak for the World.

Carey Frisch, au contraire, posted some gibberish which he had not
completely digested, and which dealt with Office Assistants for Office 97 --
NOT Office 2003.

But he won't admit his error and subsequent pratfall and simply lit out for
the tall grass with his tail between his legs.

Amusing...

"Helping" someone by promulgating Bum Dope -- which an MVP is too lazy to
check out himself before posting -- is no help at all. It's just
time-wasting gibberish.
