- Solution - User icon in start menu
- Posted by TK-M on October 8th, 2005
Hi,
I hope you get to see this post as it drove me mad for over amonth until I
managed to work out the cause.
Right click on empty desktop space and select properties, then the
"Appearace" tab. You need to have the "Windows and buttons:" set to "Windows
XP style". Only then will the little picture be displayed on the Start Menu.
I wanted the Windows on Windows classic style, so I could have "Maple"
coloured windows, which I find easier on the eyes when viewing a monitor for
a great length of time. Why changing this should change the properties of
something on the Start Menu I don't know, since the Start Menu has it's own
properties (which I had set to XP).
Hope this helps!
