Suspend printer during the week-end
Posted by Nader on December 4th, 2007

Hello,

I'd like to suspend my printer from printing outside office hours (8.00am
until 8pm) and on the week-end using the task system or any other way. Can
someone please help me?

Thanks in advance.

What you're looking for is completely possible, and typically a function
of the printer driver. For example, my HP printer software allows an
Administrator to schedule when the printer will be available. Go to
Control Panel > Printers and Faxes and go through the options available
for your printer.

If you don't find a setting in the printer software you could ask the
printer manufacturer's technical support for help, or they may be a
third-party print scheduling tool that you can install.
