- Taskbar always changing size after login
- Posted by Lifetec on April 27th, 2006
Hi,
running XP SP2 with all patches my taskbar is sized to show time, day of
week and date. But always when I lock my notebook and unlock again, or if I
login to the computer, it scales down for one line. After two unlocks or
logins it has it's smallest possible size, showing only system time.
The settings of the taskbar are: "fix taskbar" and "taskbar always in
foreground".
It's annoying. Any idea?
Thanks in advance for a good hint.
Regards,
Lifetec

I don't know if there is a difference with notebooks and
desktops, but when your taskbar is the correct size etc. can you
right click on it and where you see it say *locktaskbar* click on
that. It should remain the way you have it......

Thanks, Karen, so it is "locktaskbar" in english? That's it what I meant with
"fix taskbar" (I use a german version). So this setting is already active.
Thanks again,

Lock The Taskbar
we use spaces in english. No joining 300 words together to make a new one in english.

Yeah, that's true. It makes a language somehow flat and easier to use
compared to german.
