- Users---email messages
- Posted by iamcanadian on February 5th, 2006
I appreciate any help in advance.
I have 2 users on my computer. The screen that is shown when you can choose
which user you want to log on too, shows the number of unread mail messages
belonging to the users. Is there a way to get rid of this??
thanks.

Hi
Download TweakUI from
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx and
when installed go to Programs>Powertoys for Windows XP>Tweak UI - then go
to Logon>Unread Mail - disable it in the right hand pane.
Otherwise the Unread Mail message can be disabled via the Registry -
navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mic*rosoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\*UnreadMail\[Y*ouremailaddress]
- double click on 'MessageCount' - in the right hand pane - and change
the value to 0(Zero).
