What does "Shell Extensions\Approved" registry key do?
Posted by JS on November 9th, 2005

What does the following key in the rgeistry do? It has a list of
entries.

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\She ll Extensions
\Approved

Some shell extensions in other parts of the registry appear in this
list of "approved" entries and some of those shell extensions do not.

What does that key do?
