- xbox 360 controller as a mouse
- Posted by Colin Johnson on February 24th, 2006
I just got an xbox 360 controller and I'm interested in experimenting
with it as a mouse as well as a game controller. Does anyone know of a
simple way to have XP recognize a game controller as a mouse?
I've tried just attaching the controller to a machine w/o the drivers in
the hopes that it might be recognized as a generic USB HID with some
mouse-like functionality but that failed.
Any insight is appreciated. Think of this as amateur HCI work.

Colin
Contact the manufacturer and ask if software is available to do this.. I
have a feeling that I know what the answer will be..

Hi Colin Johnson,
You might have some success using the utility called: Joy2Mouse
You can find that and simular utilities by searching your favorite
shareware sites: download.com - majorgeeks - sourceforge
