I have just updated my review of the Canon HV20/HV30

and also my comments on some HDV programs (and my
difficulties with all of them, including Ulead, Adobe, Sony, and
HDVSplit) at www.donferrario.com/ruether/hdv-editing.htm.
All this doesn't seem like it should be "rocket science", but
none of the software is truly "ready for prime time", except
maybe HDVSplit (although I could not batch import its clips
into Vegas without crashing that...). For more on all of this,
