New Software Add-on Delivers Real-Time HDV Editing Capabilities and
Supports Latest HDV Cameras from Sony and JVC
SAN JOSE, Calif. — Sept. 7, 2004 — Adobe Systems Incorporated
(Nasdaq:ADBE) today announced an expansion of its IEEE-1394 support,
with the addition of a HDV™ plug-in for Adobe® Premiere® Pro 1.5, its
award-winning video editing software. Adobe is developing the HDV
plug-in, available later this year, to work with the next generation
of HDV cameras, such as Sony's HDR-FX1 — also announced today. Using
Adobe Premiere Pro, in conjunction with new HDV cameras, video
professionals will be able to quickly and easily capture, edit in
real-time, and output broadcast-quality high-definition video.
Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 is a core application in the Adobe Video
Collection 2.5, which includes the latest versions of Adobe After
Effects®, Adobe Audition™, and Adobe Encore™ DVD software. The
professional version of the Adobe Video Collection 2.5 also includes
Adobe Photoshop® CS software. Together, these products deliver a
complete video and audio post-production platform for video and audio
editing, motion graphics, visual effects, and DVD authoring at a
fraction of the cost of competing solutions.
