I have two computer, work, and home. Here's what I found. For the last
several years at work I use Premiere Pro 6.5. The selection (AME) I
would choose would be ‘NTSC DV High quality 4MB VBR 2 Pass’.

At home I use Premiere 2 (I have Premiere Pro 6.5 and Premiere 7
installed. I would use both of applications. Now I use only Premiere
7. Several months ago I could not export, AME, because Premiere Pro
6.5 that area was inactive, grayed out. I don’t know how I lost the
ability to export to mpeg2 nor how to make it active.

I was forced to using Premiere 7, at home, to export, AME.

I now realize at home the choices for AME presets are different from
Premiere Pro 6.5 and Premiere 7. I'm at work so I don't have the
setting here. I remember it may have been Premiere 7: NTSC 9.1 DV High
quality 4MB VBR 2 Pass. In Premiere 7 the choices had several ranges
with 9.1 variants migrating to 4.3 variants.

It was the 4.3 that I remember. There was choice for NTSC DV (4.3)
High quality 4MB CBR 2 Pass. It may have stated NTSC DV 4.3 High
quality CBT 1 Pass.

Here’s the nut and bolt question: If my preference was ‘NTSC DV High
quality 4MB VBR 2 Pass’ using Premiere Pro 6.5 and that preset ‘NTSC
DV High quality 4MB VBR 2 Pass’ no longer exits what is the next best
option using Premiere 7 that will give me NTSC DV High quality 4MB VBR
2 Pass? Very confused why adobe altered the AME Preset landscape from
Premiere Pro 6.5 and Premiere 7.
