- audio quality poor in recording
- Posted by Gary Roach on June 6th, 2006
i'm doing some recording with an old zoltrix tvmax card. the audio quality
is ok when playing live from a tuner signal but when i record it the sound
on the recording is poor. it's hissy and there's a squealing sound to it.
i've tried using ulead (192KB/s, 16-bit PCM stereo) and AMCAP (variety of
PCM settings including 8 and 16-bit stereo). i've tried turning off all
other devices in the windows volume controller. is this just crappy
hardware? thanks
