- Is B&H a good for one stop shopping?

Hi,
There's no question B&H has excellent customer service and offers a
competitive price on major purchases but how do they do on the accessories?
Having just bought a Dell computer I noticed they priced the main box pretty
low but any additional stuff like memory or hard drives tended to be 25-35%
above other reputable (i.e. NewEgg, Googlegear) online dealers. I doubt B&H
is playing the same game to that extent but now that I'm hoping to purchase
the PDX10 I thought I should check on overall accessory prices. Just looking
at the usual add-ons:
Porta Brace CS-DV3/CR2 Mini-DV Camcorder Case
Bogen/Manfrotto 501 head with 3321WN legs
Extra tapes
Sony DVM-12CLE Mini DV Head Cleaning Cassette
Lithium-Ion Battery Pack
Neutral Density filters
Tiffen UV Protector Filter
If I remember Century Precision Optics is good for lenses/filters; etronics,
SuperVideo batteries; but for tapes, cases, and tripods I'm not sure. I
don't mind paying a %15 premium for overall excellent service but if it gets
worse than that then I need to start snooping the deals.

B&H is very good for one-stop shopping. If I had to pick one camera store
that would be it. However I find lower prices all the time by shopping
around. Adorama, located about a mile from B&H frequently beats B&H by a
bit.

Yes. Do a search, find out what others say. They will be here when you
need them, not as cheap as some, but favorable return policy, and they stick
with their customers. Good selection.

They are extremely knowledgable about the products they sell. If
service is worth something, this is a strong reason to buy from them.
However the cost of postage is high. That would be my only gripe.

OK, got another gripe. Their web site has been flaky for the past two
days. One order for several hundred dollars could not be completed.
Has someone hacked their server?
