I tested desktopX 2.1 in demo mode with Windows 98se and all to work, no pb exept demo mode.
I decided to buy the full version 2.2.1 today,
and now I have a problem in the starting of desktopX.
Do you have a solution ?

-Error messages.
The DXPerf.dll plugin could not be loaded. This is generally caused by attempting to use
the plugin on a Windows 98 OS. Objects using the will not be loaded and will show as blank in DesktopX.

-and crash if i load a theme

DESKTOPX a causé une défaillance de page dans le module <inconnu> à 0000:00000004.

Man-X nous apporta ses lumieres ainsi en ce 2004-10-15 06:40... :

Tu utilise windows 98(se). Le theme utilisé utilise un plugin
incompatible avec windows 98, 98SE et 98ME. Il est probable que la
version démo n'utilise pas le plugin qui cause le probleme.
Solutions :
1 - ne pas utiliser d'objet utilisant ce plugin (objets de type "meeter").
2 - te débarasser de windows 98se et installer windows 2000 ou XP.

Merci d'avoir répondu, y aurait pas l'intermediaire comme solution ; )
le bug étant connu y a peut être un fichier à updater ?
Passer à XP, j'essai...mais bref galère de compatibilité hard, je suis dessus ; )
