Can Matroska make RatDVD-style backups?
Posted by Dennis Q. Wilson on November 22nd, 2007

Is there any way to make an XviD or H264 backup of an entire DVD, menu
structure and all, within a Matroska container the way RatDVD used to
do? If so, where can I find information about how to achieve this?
Thanks.

Don't know much about their Media Player though. I
still use Media Player Classic (MPC)

The "Core" products that I like are those from:

At least their AVC/H.264 products.

I'm an AVC guy myself, not ASP.

Also, Google "DVD to MKV"

By the way Your RatDVD appears to have a lot of
detractors, and didn't mention using MKV, just their
own codec. It has download sites still though.

Luck;
Ken
